dsc_00391Celebration of Love feeds the hungry and helps families facing difficult times in their lives, especially during the holiday season. During the event, each family receives a box filled with a turkey, canned goods, milk, pie and bread.

The Army Community Services and the Fort Hood Installation Chaplain’s Office hosted their 2nd Annual Celebration of Love event on Sunday, and more than 200 volunteers provided food boxes to 1,800 military families at Fort Hood.

David Davenport, President and CEO of CAFB, says:

“Celebration of Love is a true celebration of community. Watching more than 200 volunteers work passionately to give back to the military families on post at Ft. Hood was inspiring. All of us who enjoy freedom and safety owe these families a great debt of gratitude for the sacrifices they make every day. It was an honor to be a part of this Celebration of Love distribution, and I am proud of the important role we played in the success of the event.”
