Important Update Regarding President & CEO
September 3, 2010 § 1 Comment
Dear CAFB Supporter,
You may have seen or heard that earlier today our President and CEO, David Davenport resigned. I want to take this opportunity to assure you that it is business as usual here at the Food Bank. Our mission is too important to be distracted by this news.
The search for his successor has already begun, and our board Vice-Chair, Hank Perret, has been asked, and agreed, to serve as interim president and CEO. Mr. Perret brings more than 35 years of business experience and has served on the board since 2003.
We will continue to keep you apprised of our news and progress over these coming months as we work to end hunger in Central Texas. I want to reinforce that the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas is financially strong, healthy, and will continue to fulfill its mission of nourishing hungry people and leading the community in ending hunger.
My best to you and your families this Labor Day weekend.
Board of Directors, Chair
Capital Area Food Bank of Texas
