Hunger Action Month Way of the Day: Volunteer at a Food Pantry
September 22, 2010 § Leave a comment
In partnership with the For the City Network, CAFB’s third food pantry will be part of the new nonprofit center in the St. Johns neighborhood. In addition to a client-choice food pantry, the facility will also provide SNAP outreach, HOPE distributions and other services. For our Partner Agencies, it will provide training, and serve as a model for best practices in food pantry operations. Learn more about this new facility and partnership at http://www.forthecity.org.
This is a great team-building opportunity for your corporation or service organization. This is a hands on opportunity to help us prepare our food pantry for Wednesday’s distribution. Duties include assisting with unloading incoming food order, stocking shelves and light clean up. Register online to sign up.
