Put your tweets and Facebook updates to good work with HelpAttack!

November 19, 2010 § 8 Comments

HelpAttack! is a new way for people to donate the Food Bank using online tools such as Twitter and Facebook. Every time you update your status online, or tweet, you will automatically be donating a penny, nickel or dime to the Food Bank. You can be tweeting about your favorite movie, funny things said by your favorite celebrity or ranting about holiday shopping and it will all support hungry Central Texans. In case you’re worried that your social tendencies may not keep up with your wallet, the service allows you to put a cap on your giving.

Just think, your next @justinbieber OMG did you see that! #ATX tweet could mean 10 cents for the Food Bank.

And since we can turn every $5 donation into $25 worth of nutritious food, your 10 cent tweet doesn’t look so shabby.
